We are looking to adopt a female boxer between the ages of 1-3 years old. We have a male boxer that is fixed and we would like to add another to our family. We need for her to be good with kids, we have a 15 month old daughter. We would like for her to be house trained, spayed and be within 3-4 hours of Jacksonville, NC.

Hi Zigster -

Have you tried contacting your nearest Boxer Rescue? I think there are several in your state (I did a quick google search).

Good luck

Hey, Zigster, I am a foster-mom for a boxer-only rescue group that is actally located in Wilmington. if you search carolina boxer rescue, you'll find us. We have several girls available. There is a lengthy application process, home visits required, but it is worth it! We take VERY Seriously having properly socialized and well trained boxers before we adopt them out. In fact, we are having a big fund raiser and get together on the 22nd at a park in Wilmington (I can't remember the name of it), in a few days, I'll be posting something in the "boxer bash" forum. You are more than welcome to come to our fundraiser, most of our "adoptees" will be there.

Rescues

Hi Boxerchick12,
We did and application for that rescue over the weekend and are waiting for a response. We are interested in Mandi and Mandy. They are both so cute and sound like thye would fit in to our family very well. I found Boxer World while searching the internet last night and thought maybe someone on here may know of someone who needs to find a new home for their lil girl. We will be happy to adopt from a rescue or from someone needing to find a home for a lil girl, either way we are looking to help and add to our family. I do know about the Boxer Bash on the 22nd and I think my family and I will be there. Thank you for the info.

Great!!! Don't get inpatient with the application process, they are going to check your references and everything. I know Mandi (with an "i", the one that smiles) is pretty new, but I was talking to her fostermom the other night, this is her 2nd time through the rescue program, the other family had her for YEARS, and then moved (I think, I could be wrong about the moving) and they say she is such a character! Mandy ("Y")'s foster family gives a lot of cute updates on her, I don't think you could go wrong with either of them. I hope you can make it on the 22nd, Roxy and I will be the idiots running around really hyper! Also, Gracie will be there on the 22nd, too, she's a cute little chubby pup!

Two boxer girls in South Carolina

I know of two boxer girls, both 1 year old in a vet clinic in Clinton, SC not sure how far away that is from you. However, there is no rescue group affiliated with them, and no foster home so they really need homes soon. check out www.boxertown.com if you are interested, they are the second listing on the page for urgent boxers.thanks and good luck!

Well we heard from the rescue today and they said that they didn't have a Boxer for us. So, we are kind of sad we were hoping to be able to help one of those lil girls out and give them a forever home. Maybe we will be able to help one of the girls at the or Roxie at the animal shelter.

Hi Laura,
I emailed the shelter about Roxie and they said they don't have any Boxers, so my guess is that she has been adopted already and they haven't removed her picture from there webpage yet. Thank you for letting me know about her, pleas let me know of any others you come across we are still very actively looking.
