Looking for some good healing vibes...

Duke and Zuzu were having a ball in the backyard, boxing and running around, when all of a sudden Duke let out a loud yelp. He turned and ran away from Zuzu and when he turned back I thought his EYE WAS POPPING OUT OF HIS FACE!!! For a split second I thought I was going to pass out. Anyway, long story short, he has a small scratch on his cornea, which should be easy to treat. His 3rd eyelid is extremely inflamed and red (thus the eye popping out of his head thought), and the vet expressed concern about him possibly developing cherry eye and having to have his 3rd eyelid surgically removed?? I know she has to give me worst case scenario, which I appreciate, but being the worry-wart that I am I will be checking his eye every 3 seconds. Also, wouldn't that affect his tear ducts somehow?? Anyway, please send some healing vibes our way so we don't even have to worry about that option. Duke was just neutered last week... I would hate to have him go under again so soon... or ever, for that matter!!! I will keep y'all posted.

Good News!

We finally settled to bed about 11:45 last night and everyone slept soundly. Woke up this morning to a NORMAL LOOKING EYE! YAY! Except for some extra eye gunk, you wouldn't know that there was a problem the night before. Duke doesn't really like to sit still for the ointment that I have to put into his eye, but I keep telling him that is a far better option than having surgery. We go back to the vet on Monday to check on the corneal abrasion. I am feeling good about that healing nicely as long as I don't have any trouble with his medications! Thanks for your prayers and healing vibes... I am sure they help!
