Boxer Pal
I live in Vestavia and would love to find other Boxers for Dixie to play with. I take her to Patriot Park in Homewood sometimes to run around and play. Let me know if Maverick wants to play, because right now her 2 best friends are a Yellow Lab and a Rottweiler. She needs some Boxer pals.

We live in the Bham area and are always looking for new boxer friends 
We even have a dog park to meet and play in now! :D We have just adopted our second boxer...she was technically our foster, but she was just too adorable to give up, so now we have Gus and our recent addition Maggie. We should all meet at the dog park in Homewood one day!! We live just north of Birmingham in Fultondale. Weekends are best for us, although we could meet after 5:00 on week nights as well.

evenings generally aren't good for Dixie and I, but weekends are good. We'll be out of town the next 2 weekends, but Aug 13 or 14 would be good to meet at the dog park. BTW, have you ever seen any other dogs there? The few times I've taken Dixie, it's been just us. Still lots of room for her to run around though.

We haven't been to the dog park yet, we've had quite hectic weekends the past month or so, but we definitely plan to go soon! It would be even better if no one else was there and we could set up boxer playdates! The park is in Homewood on Oxmoor Road. The4Legged1, do you think you could provide directions for us?

AWW MAN!! i had no clue there was a park like that here!! do you think some one who knows where it is could call and see if we could have a bash there one day?? that would be great but if not maybe all of us could meet up there and let our crazy babies play. let me know

The park just opened on June 25, so don't think you've been missing out for long It sounds like we can have the park to ourselves at least until people start catching on! We should all plan to meet on August 13 or August 20 in the morning. I heard about the park through the rescue I work with, and I had to go back through LOTS of posts to find the directions... but I finally found them :D They're below. Let me know when you'd all like to meet!
Patriot Park (new dog park) off West Oxmoor Road in Homewood. Going South on I-65, you would take the 1st Oxmoor exit (West Oxmoor). Road will bear to the right at the off ramp. Get in left lane and take the LEFT at the split in the road. Go to Oak Grove Road & turn left (you will see the park on your right). The park is only 2 or 3 blocks from the split on Oxmoor.
