We have been boxer lovers from early childhood. Ted and I have been married for 22 years and always had a female. Our first was lost to cancer at the age of 6. We recently lost our second female after a long bout with cancer. She, like our first, was the center of attention in our household. She had a strange bout of bloat and she could not be saved. Needless to say, our hearts were broken. We thought we had beaten the cancer, then bloat took her away. We have not been able to even think about another boxer until recently and we really want to go the rescue root this time. We live in Maryland and are looking for a young female fawn with uncropped ears. She needs to be good with kids because we have 3 who are deperate for another boxer to love. We are a little skiddish because our hearts are still broken over our loss. But today we ran into a couple who had 2 females and we just knew it was time to start looking again. If anyone has any ideas let us know. We are going to take our time and get just the right female for our family. Thanks in advance, Ted & Nancy Ps. Good luck finding your new family member

I am sorry to hear about your losses. I want to wish you guys the best of luck finding your new family member. I hope to hear from you and how your search is going. When I bought my first boxer, I got a certificate of health, but the breeder gave me all kinds of info. on the breed. He told me all the problems that they are succeptable to. That helped me out a lot when I decided to expand my boxer family. All of my boxers are perfectly healthy. I can't imagine going through the heartbreak that you guys have been through. I hope you can find the perfect dog for your lifestyles. Best wishes.

Thank you both so much for your concern. We are now actively looking for a female fawn to rescue. The children are so excited they can't stand it. Even our daughter from college called me last night to tell me she would drive up to Mass. to pick up a pair of fawn sisters we saw on one of the webs. We live in Maryland, just a little bit of a drive! They are really ready!! Our 16 year old son has downloaded some photos of the sisters and put them on our screen saver!!I have a boxer crazy family! We will keep you informed as to how our search is going. Thank you again for the kind words.
