I shoot professionally and I use a Canon 20d.
I use a 35mm-70mm lens and a 100mm-300mm lens.

heres an example...its UNEDITED...just reduced in size....use your judgement.
the camera body itself runs around $1500

That's a darn nice camera.

I dunno if it's worth it though. I'm still impressed by the lesser priced Drebel and D70.

Reducing the size of the photo is a HUGE edit. There are just too many factors involved. If you don't shoot RAW, and do a straight converstion to TIFF and post at full-resolution, then there's no way to get a feel for quality (not to mention the lens makes as much if not more of a difference than the body).

If not done that way, many questions arise: was it shot in JPG? Was there in-camera sharpening? Color correction? What algorithm was used to interpolate/resample the image to shrink it? Bicubic? Bicubic sharper? smoother? Was there any sharpening done after the fact? Levels, contrast?

I'm sure the 20d is a nice camera (I have a 10D), though I've read quite a few complaints from pros concerning focusing issues and sharpness of photos. What exactly are you trying to demonstrate?

Yes, yes I have. That hurts, for sure. However, there's a big difference between looking at things pixel by pixel using focusing charts, etc, and just knowing how to compare apples to apples. I was just pointing out that the measure being used for comparison(or evaluation) wasn't a fair one.
