I've been reading whole theories about how names can affect a person's personality and character. I'm thinking this definitely applies to animals as well. "Baby-Girl" is almost ready to come home, it's a matter of days, and I can't find a name for her..

I've been looking online at different suggestions and I was shocked! Names such:

HONEYSUCKLE ROSE; KOOKABURRA; BAHAMA MAMA; BOUGAINVILLEA; WOOLY MAMMOTH; DOUBLE-O-SEVEN; MARSHMALLOW; etc... are just a bit too much for what I would like to call my little girl :(

I'm thinking of something short, sweet, but defining a good character in the same time...please let me know if you have any ideas.

Thanks

I personally like names with sounds 'y' and 'a' in the middle, like Baby, Kylie or Rynah. The last name I especially like - it is the name of Tina's playmate boxer girl. What do you think? ;)

Name

We found our boxer's name in a pet-name book. I think it was "Greatest Pet name book ever" or something like that. You really just have to go over and over each name, say it aloud until you find one that fits perfect. And you will find one. We named our little guy Legend. It fits him, he's perfect!

For the record, for girls I like Dakota, Jazz, and Gracie. You can look up babynames.com and search by meaning. There's a lot of good sources on the net. Good luck with your boxer girl!

I read that the name of the dogs has to be short and also has to ends in a vowel so it will be easier for them con understand and learn it.
My boxer is named Rocco. His mom is named Maddonna and his father Bon Jovi.

For a female, we didn't have too many options other than Maggie. We also liked Harely and Marely. I like Roxanne too. I think it is easier to come up with male names.

I dont have any female dogs, but I think it is easier to name girls than boys. The names I like are Shelby, Reba, Anna, Hayley, and Annabell. Hope I helped. :) Good luck choosing a name, let us know what you decide on. We had a friend that named their male rotti, Batman. I think its funny, but I wouldn't want to run around the neighborhood yelling "Batman, come on Batman!" lol I can just imagine what the neighbors would think.

names

I'm going to have to go with Sadie on a name. My boxer that passed away was named Sayde (we spelled it different). We are looking for names before we get a new female and I just can't get passed what a good name Sayde is. It's sweet, yet powerful all in the same...a great name for a new boxer. Unfortunatly it would be a little strange if I named all my female boxers Sayde..but it could work for you. Hope you find a name soon, it's hard to get that pup home and keep saying "come here puppy" they start thinking that is thier name!
