Cami
Boxer Insane
My house has been too quiet since losing Cami. I still can't get used to doing things without a dog. We seem to find ourselves keeping the same schedule that we kept with her. There has been no reason for it. Just a routine that we got into for so long and it has stuck.
So......we may have a new addition. Both of us are feeling really REALLY guilty about bringing home a new baby to love but think we are going to jump in with both feet. A lot has gone into finding the perfect fit for our family. We've been to dog shows, contacted various breeders, met with some, exchanged e-mails, scoured pedigrees, verified health testing records and got on a couple of waiting lists. Until yesterday we still were not sure if the breeder would give this baby up (they wanted to keep her for show). I think they felt bad for us and finally gave in.
We initially went into the search with wanting a flashy reverse brindle girl (hubby wanted a boy). So having to find a responsible breeder who was going to have a pairing that would produce a flashy reverse brindle wasn't an easy task! In my heart I realized that I was a flashy fawn girl lover....just like Cami was and the pup I picked at day one was almost lost to the breeder but it seems that it might all work out. The flashy reverse brindle girl who hubby was smitten with went to a show dog judge.
At any rate....here is the baby....notice the tiny sliver of tongue that can be seen.
Pictured at one day of age.
Here she is at 6.5 weeks of age (yesterday).....again with the tongue!!! If you remember Cami's pics most of them included the tongue out as well.
I think she is a cutie pie. We are set to pick her up on the 28th.....if we can turn the corner, get off the fence and stop torturing ourselves.
No name as of yet. Still tossing around a few. I don't know what to look for as far as stance, head shape, etc...I just think she is a doll and her parents are both champions and gorgeous.
