Boxer Pal
my 8 month old boxer just the other day began not having energy. She is usually full of energy as boxers are. I had taken her to the dog park and she just wasnt running around as usual. That morning I was going to the vet for bumps on her chin, which ended up being acne. When we got home she went to her crate and layed down and didnt get up the rest of the day. About 3pm she vomited. I took her back to the vet thinking maybe it was from the shot he had given her. The vet said it wasnt from the shot and gave her another shot for the vomiting and asked if he could do a blood test. Of course. Oviously there is something going on. I left her over night so they could watch her and picked her up the next day. The blood test results showed the liver levels were very high and this was due to bacteria. He gave me meds to give her and this should clear it up. She did eat a little when she got home and then layed back down. Has anyone experienced this?

My boxer Adrian, also has/had high liver enzymes.. The vet said that this could be due to several things. It sounds like to me that your lil boxer just ate something she shouldn't have. The vet told me that any sort of plant, insects, mushrooms, etc. etc. could make their liver enzymes go up..
I hope this is what your pup has.. Keep us posted

zoey liver problem is all better.

Thanks. Well, Zoey is all better. Took her a few days to get to eating and get her energy back, but she is back to normal! It makes sense that she could have eaten something that caused the problem, she eats the plants, bushes, trees etc. We jokingly call her a goat. lol
