Litter Questions

We have five Pups and at birth their weight was two weighed 1 pound, 2 weighed 15 ounces and one weighed 14 ounces.
They are 23 days old today and I am worried about the only little boy. He was one pound at birth and today he weighs 5 pounds and 8 ounces. Is it normal for a pup to gain that much in 23 days?
Each pup has trippled their weight. Is that normal?

I posted a few weeks ago about the Mom being so aggressive and she is doing wonderful. She does not snap at all now just wants to sit by and watch me bring them their food. She sometimes acts like she wants me to come in so she can show them off to me.

Twice a day I bring them their wet puppy food and all 5 dig in. I only bring half of the can in the morning and half a can at night for all 5 is that too much or too little?

I have not been able to find a breeder close to ask these questions and I thank you very much for your replies in advance.

This litter was a mistake but I will no way hope for the best with their lives. I want to make sure they have the best start.I found a site that has a puppy evaluation sheet for things to do with them for the first 6 weeks and it says to separate each one for about 5 minutes a day now and call them, place them on a different floor surface, turn them on their back and record their actions. My only question is this may scare them and is it a good idea to scare these babies at such a young age?

At just 3 weeks they should be getting some puppy food but still having the mother the most, if she is ok and has plenty of milk.
Dont hurry to wean them.
Mine at 6 weeks are still having two feeds a day from Mum who is quite happy about that.

How are their poops?
Over fed pups often have runny bowel movements which indicates over feeding or too rich a feeding.
I dont persoanly give pups that young any sort of puppy food especially canned , as I prefer baby rice first , but I guess its all a personal choice thing.

The male sounds fine, probably just going to be a big boned dog. I have a male here who far outweighs the other pups and is now 6 weeks.

Thank You Debbie, it is lamb and rice canned. I was just afraid for Reba because they all have their teeth in and she has been coming to me for tummy rubs. I can see some bruising it looks like. Their poop is fine not runny at all. I will make sure to check that each day as well. This evening I went into the room and called puppy puppy and 3 of the 5 came out of their bed to me.

We go to the Vet on Wednesday just for check ups and set their shots appointment.
