My family and I had a house fire a few years ago. Our lineage papers and our AKC registration papers were destroyed in the fire and I am trying to find out how to get them again. If anyone has any information on how I can get this information please contact me. I really want to get them again.
My boxer came from new Jersey and the people that had him paid $900 for him and had all the paperwork. They moved here to Pennsylvania and didn't end up having the room or the time for him and they were friends of our sons and they gave him and the papers to us and then the next year we had our house fire and now are gone. So any information would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advanced!

Are you planning on showing or breeding your pup?

I would assume the AKC would have copies of all the paper work. Have you contacted them to try and get a copy?

Why do you need them? Papers really mean nothing unless you are breeding your dog. If you are wanting to breed your dog you would need to show him first to prove that he is a good representative of the breed and that he meets the standards for the breed. Since he is already 4 years old, it's probably a bit late to start showing.

If you want the papers, just for the sake of having them, I am sure that you can get a copy from the AKC.

Good luck!

If you are looking to compete in AKC sanctioned sport events and can't get a copy of his registration you can always get an ILP/PAL listing for him instead.
