Well, Lily is home and resting comfortably. Uneventful surgery and I'm praying for uneventful recuperation. 
Lars is doing better. Seems Lily's hospitalization was a nice break for Lars. Lots and lots of resting for him. His back was a little sore yesterday, but I rubbed him a lot. The tummy is improving. Slower than usual, but getting there. A friend was talking to me about massage for dogs and how the primary element in massage is well-intentioned touch. Touching him and concentrating on the energy and healing. I tried to keep that in my mind yesterday and will remember that going forward.
