Light a Candle

My hubby sent this to me ...thought I would share...For those of you who have lost their beloved companions...please light a candle in their memory...!

Yes Ma'am.

May I also add that Pet Loss has an "organized" candle lighting on Monday nights at 10pm EST. (More info at http://www.petloss.com/ceremony.htm ). There is something truly healing about knowing that hundreds, maybe thousands, of other people are lighting candles at the same time and for the same purpose. I try to light a candle every Monday for my kids that have gone on as well as those special dogs that have touched my life. I also light candles on birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. It really does help. Sadly, I light about 30 candles now, and I've added another special one for Goliath.

Indeed there is.

I too started out on petloss.com when Garrett left us and have continued my candle lighting almost faithfully since. It allows us one special moment each week to remember our loved ones.

Thanks Vickie and Cub....I lit the virtual candle for Goliath at Vickie's site and have also added GK to the BridgeList at Pet.loss for tomorrow night's ceremony. I, too light a candle for Hannah every Monday and of course will add one for our GK. I do picture all of them watching as the candles from all over the world light in their honor. We must never forget any of them, as they would never forget any of us. They are the meaning of the word "love". djk

Thanks for the link. I just lit a candle for Bart. If you go to in-memory-of-pets.com you can light a really pretty rose candle for your baby. I found it by accident when Bart crossed, and I also lit one for Mr. Goliath.
