Depends on Buddy's mood...

Sometimes Buddy does the stretch, and sometimes he does the lift. Sometimes he starts out as a stretch, and ends up as a lift:p The bad part is, he learned to lift his leg from a female feist:rolleyes:

Murray is definitely a squatter but it's not always neat and clean. Sometimes that "stream" is just a little too long and he's hitting the back of his front paws  which is a horrible scene especially first thing in the morning when he's doing his "Austin Powers" pee -- it's like the hose is hooked up to his butt and it's never going to stop!

Rocky lifts his leg. Sometimes it is a very high lift and others it is just a little lift. I thought I would be happier if he stayed squatting, however if he squats then he just pees all over himself. Typical guy, no aim what-so-ever smashicon Rocky *always* has to pee before he poos too! Even when he has to poo super bad he makes sure he pees first. This one time he had to poo so bad but he wanted to pee first, so he hiked his leg up and guess what came shooting out the other end

Benson squats... he tried lifting a couple of months ago, when we were on a walk, he lost his balance and fell into the trees... people who were walking by and witnessed this start to chuckle (so did I). He seemed very embarrassed and has never tried again. I would rather him squat anyway... less chance of injury! LOL!!!

Hi! Max is now seven months and has always been a squatter. Recently when I take him to the dog park, and he sees another pouch pee, he will go over to the same spot and lift his leg to mark. That's the only time! I don't think any of our male pups are girlie if they squatt...and their definatelly not girly when its cold and they wear a coat....just stylish and sensible! Denise

Yeah

My Tazo (1yr next week)streached until just a few months ago then he started to lift. I asked his vet what she thought and she said a lot of pups do that until they're 10 to 11 months old...it's a maturity thing as they grew out of puppy hood. So I think it's perfectly normal!

It took Corgan forever to lift his leg and he lifts it on everything! He even paces in circles around Loke while she is peeing just so he can pee in the same spot!! I've even caught him trying to lift at the same time Loke is going. That's a no-no in my book, it just irks me. He is so weird. He has some serious issues. Buttons on the other hand learned to lift early, about 7 or 8 months. But he had a teacher. ;)

I'm SOOOO proud....last night at about 4:30 am Sully (new 8 wk old brindle) lifted a leg to go!!! Every other time he has squated....(I'm pretty sure he was just itching or something when he did....but I was still pretty proud of him for doing it!) :)
