Leg Lifting?

When does a male boxer usually start this habit while urinating?

9 months to a year and sometimes never. If you do a search you will find other posts on it.

My boy didn't lift his leg til he saw my mom and dad's male bulldog do it, then when Cooper tried he fell flat on his face it took him a while to be able to get the hang of it and in the mean time provided me with a lot of laughs

I dont remember wich dog or board member, but someone posted that their dog was experimenting to learn leg lifting, did one rear leg, and then tried to do the opposing front leg and fell over. I still get a chuckle when I think of that one.

Olli is about 14 months old and I thought he would never lift his leg. Until recently he hasn't showed any signs of even trying to lift his leg on anything. Then one day my husband was outside over to our neighbor's around his male dog and Olli lifted his leg and urinated on the tree. He has been lifting his leg ever since. But he does not lift his leg every time he urinates just sometimes for marking I guess.

Buster is 2 and 1/2 years old. He is still a squatter for peeing but he lifts his leg and marks up a storm on walks.

My boy is 10mo and started lifting his leg 3months ago. He doesn't do it all the time. He mostly does it when he's sniffing around. I guess he's just marking what he thinks is his..

My male is 16 months and has never attempted to lift, which is fine by me since his aim is so much better when he squats. :D
