Does anyone have a boxer that gets leg cramps during/after activity?
Mine is 5 year old female. She gets a leg cramp in one front leg that seems to start in shoulder and makes her toes curl under. She gets this every week at daycamp - yes she is spoiled and goes to daycamp. And she sometimes gets it when I take her on 3-5 mile hikes.
Two years ago she had a bacterial infection in her toenails. One by one each toenail lifted off the quick and was either surgically removed, pulled off like a stray hair by the vet, or just fell off. Nails had to be cultured at the local vet school to determine correct antibiotics. And she hadto have foot washings twice a day. She wore bandages that made her look like a human boxer - cute but painful. Her toenails are just now starting to be normal. I have only trimmed one nail in two years.
Anyone ever had either of these with their boxer? Or heard about it with other breeds?
