Wouldn't it be better to re-home your boxer to someone who can give him the time, love and training that you can't?

Rehoming better than working out a solution to the problem? Too many dogs are rehomed without exploring every option.

I just saw this thread and It's kind of upsetting. I really agree with all the points that are being made here..but to say to rehome him is kind of harsh.. I know but if this is their 1st boxer/pet maybe they just aren't sure what the right thing to do is. Hopefully they will listen to all the suggestions and come up with a solution. My Cain sleeps in the living room in a crate..while comet sleeps in my room next to my bed...that doesn't mean I'm a bad mom, but I couldn't fit 2 pet beds next to me so Cain moved to the living room...So a solution was found and I'm sure they will find one for their baby. And If they can't find a solution that works for them..then we hope that they will find their baby a new loving home.

I agree with Maniago. Rather than continuing to suggest that Kazjimmy give up the dog, why don't we wait to see what decision has been made on the care first? We all come here for help, especially thoose new to boxers. Some will take the advice given and others will not. We may not like what we hear from every poster, but if we stop being helpful, our voices will no longer get through. Those who need advice and help the most may not ask the questions they need to ask or stay away instead.
I will always feel anger when a dog is not receiving proper care, but if the owner is asking for help, I'll give as much assistance as I can.

I agree Boxers are not outside dogs mine are never outside without me My breeder tells me to crate untill 22 months old but I personally have found around 14 months old I can leave them out I would consider doggy daycare at least a few times a week more if you can afford it it tires the dog out and a tired boxer is a good thing All 3 of sleep in my room at night Crate training is the best thing you can do for your dog to keep them from destroying things.

Rather then rehoming or leaving your dog outside daycare right now since you are away a lot and then you dog would sleep the next day from exhaustion

Sounds to me like this person just needed a little education on boxers, and you all did well in teaching them. To me it sounds like they really are going to try. I mean, I didn't know anything about boxers before I got one, but I learned so much here. I don't think this person needs to be told anymore to rehome their dog, that isn't a very good answer to the problem.
