Boxer Pal
Hello, everyone. I am in the process of purchasing a white female boxer, which I FULLY intend to have spayed if she is not spayed before I get her. What I want to know is can you show a spayed white boxer in anything. Not that I intend to show at this point, but i was thinking if she does well in her obedience classes it might be something to look into that would give us an activity to do together to help keep the obedience lessons in play. If not i still intend to to take her to her obedience classes. Is there anything else someone could suggest if not. I'd really enjoy doing something a little special with her, other than snuggling which is my ultimate goal, lol.
Thanks

Hi,

If she doesn't already have limited AKC registration you can still show her in obedience, rally-o, obedience and tracking through AKC (anything aside from conformation). You just have to register her for an ILP number. The ILP is a registration for non-registered purebred dogs. You will need to send proof that she is spayed and pictures of her to show she is purebred along with a $25 fee.

There are also organizations aside from AKC where you can get agility/obedience and other dogsport titles on any dog. These organizations do not discriminate based on breed.

You could also do agility with her (tons of fun)! As was stated above you should be able to compete in anything except for conformation.
