Although this doesn't make me look like the brightest bulb in the box, I have to prefis this by saying that Kozmo is the first MALE dog I have ever had. I have had dogs my whole life but they have all been female including our 4 yr old boxer Zoe.

So anyway, we had Kozmo neutered last week. I was a nervous wreck and even posted something about it but all went well and he is great. Needless to say, later that night my husband and I we commenting that his umm "package" looked smaller. The next day my brother-in-law was over for Thanksgiving and had brought his male beagle. Well we all got to talking about the silly things our dogs do and we explained that since Kozmo had been neutered his "package" seemed to be shrinking.

It was then that all was revealed. I honestly thought they did like a vesectimy(sp?) It certainly explained the shrinking "package". I think we all laughed for about ten minutes after the shock wore off

Like I said, learn something new every day.

Thats not so bad.
When I was a kid my mom thought the cat we bought was a girl for like the first few months we had him. So when his member started to show itself my mom thought he had something wrong with him & brought him to the vet.
The vet explained that the thing my mom saw was his penis. For the longest time we kept calling the cat a girl and the best part his name was Muffin(named when mom thought he was a she). Poor thing, talk about an identity crisis

I can do better!!!

We had a cat who mum thought was a girl so she took her to get spayed. The vets shaved her side and made the incision - but couldn't find the girl parts. Leah was actually a boy & even fooled the vet! The vet rang to say "would you like your cat neutered instead?"

When I was about ten , my younger sister and I both got hamsters. We were assured that they were both male. After a while, my sister's hamster "George" had babies. hmmmmmmmmmmmm!

I'll top that. The first time my dog was having pups I thought they came out of the teats. I thought that was how you figured out how many pups they could have. Duh!

With a vascectomy, you wouldn't get the postive changes that you get from a neutering. Like no marking in the house, Wanting to wander, and being a matcho dog that wants to fight with other male dogs. The hormones would still be there.
