Toby has never been in our bed since he's been here, so this morning when my grand daughter got here, DH hadn't gotten up for work yet and she went to climb in bed with him to get him up. Our bed is a queen size that sits high up and steps are used to climb in. Well the bedroom door was left open and to our amazing surprise Toby jump into the bed! Never thought that he would ever be able to get that high up! Needless to say my DH wasn't very happy to have been woken up with a 70lb dog on his head! No alarm clock needed this morning lol! Really didn't realize that boxers could jump that high! They teach us something new everyday :) well, me anyway

Boxers can jump very high! I have a 5 ft fence only because I wasn't allowed to have a 6 ft one. I was watching Arabella chase a squirrel one day and I honestly thought she was going to go over the fence to get to it. I still think she would have if there hadn't been a tree on the other side to stop her. Plus my first boxer would jump up on my deck without ever touching the stairs. It was an easy 4 ft for her.

I also know of a one boxer who was in a yard that had a 6 ft fence and from a sitting position, no need for a running start, would jump the fence.

Oh my! Yes many boxers can jump pretty high. They are quite apt to jump up and give a quick kiss to a standing adult

With our two, Layla is clearly the jumping queen, just loves to give unexpected kisses. A real problem at times. She also was expelled from day care for going over their 5 1/2 foot fence from a standing start, (jumps up high enough to get paws and chest over, then kicks with her back feet) She easily clears our 31 inch bed post from a standing start. (Great way to wake up DW in the morning.) In agility a couple of our instructors were debating whether she actually clears 4 feet when going over jumps. She is also quite good at soaring up to catch frisbees.

Meanwhile Jack is heavier boned or doesn't care. Never had a jumping issue with him.

Hurley used to jump high enough on our 6 ft fence that he would hang his paws over the top to see what was going on on the other side. When he was at home we never put a collar on him because we were afraid he'd get it caught on the fence and choke. He brought so much laughter into our lives. He's been gone for well over a year, but I still smile when I recall his silly boxer antics

Oh yes, I think Boxers are part kangaroo!
Cyrus learned how to jump a four foot fence by watching his buddy Brew Dog do it. He clears it with no effort or even touching the top! He looks like a champion hunter-jumper horse, tucking those legs right up to his body.

My first boxer Rebel, he never jumped, never jumped on people, just a big old love bug, so that jump was very unexpected for me and at 8 months old it was pretty impressive, lol :)

Many boxers are very good jumpers. My Diva in her hey day could clear six foot easily from a sitting start and then if she wanted would also climb foolicon She loved to jump - you could tell by the sheer enjoyment on her face! A real little pocket rocket. Monty could also jump, but fortunately he really couldn't coordinate his long legs to get overy anything too high - he was a fantastic dog, but not the most coordinated :D

Smiley, my pit/boxer can climb a 20 ft chainlink like a monkey. Luckily, the others have not figured out they CAN jump the 5 ft fence IF they really wanted to. I'm sure the bathing feline that sits on the other side of the fence is happy they haven't either!
