This week I have come to realise just how lazy my boy is.

I usually run 4-5 miles with him every morning. We drop the children off at school and then off we go. He knows the routine and is ready to go. Well, since Saturday my DD(9) has been ill with the flu & my DH is away on business. So unfortunately for Billy we have not been able to go out.

Is he bothered? NO - he just climbs up onto his seat in the sunshine looking out the window, promptly closes his eyes and starts snoring. My DD is still off today (Wed) and I can honestly say that he has been sleeping on that chair on & off most of the days.

And there was me thinking I had an energetic, full of beans dog. I guess they get used to our routines & what we do with them. He doesn't seem to be missing his morning run but I am!!!

God forbid I mess up Lemmy's routine, I'll never see the end of it till he gets out to play.

chloe enjoys her lazy moments, somedays she could sleep it away if i let her, especially cloudy overcast days put a blanket on her and she is good for hours.

That was funny - hope your DD gets well soon :o(

Indie is really routine stricken - should she not go out on her walks at the right time, she will walk up and down the room woo wooing! it's easier to take her out! lol

She is the same on a Saturday and Sunday morning too! Billy clearly has seen an opportunity to be lazy haha

And boxers are supposed to be high energy dogs! Bayleigh is the same way. I think they burn so much energy at once that they have to take long naps. Other dogs seem to ration their energy. Boxers seem to go all out and then crash. Kinda like that story, the tortoise and the hare!

Hope your daughter is feeling better. Billy is not being lazy, he probably thinks he is a second care giver, can't leave the house while there is protecting to do.

Thanks all - I hope she get better soon also. I must not complain, this is the 1st time she has had time off from school for illness!! Also, my sister is headed over from the UK next week for a visit - it would be miserable for her to catch flu whilst over here in So.Cal!!!! Imagine having to go to Disney when you felt like ****
