Well I received my new Pilates reformer machine yesterday and leaned the 150 lb box against a wall until my DH came home to help bring it upstairs. I left the box and Layla in the family room and went back to work. When I got home, there was a perfectly chewed hole in the middle of the cardboard box and Layla had pulled out the instructional video and book and chewed it to bits!! I told DH that Layla doesn't think I need the exercise!! I am just too embarrassed to call for another book and video and to tell them that my dog ate it!!!

My dog ate it! One of these days the kids will get to use that excuse when Quinsi gets ahold of one of their home work assignments!

Quinsi does't think my wife and I need to do our abdominizer work out. Every time we lay on the floor he jumps on our bellys to show that HE can make us do a crunch better!

The dog ate it...that is hilarious! Don't ever doubt the wisdom of your boxer. Heed the warning and leave the exercise machine alone!

Thats too funny. I know how you feel. I had to deal with "the dog ate it" when stupid me left my cell phone on the coffee table! And had to call and get it replaced . . .
"Um, yes I need to get my cell phone replace!"
"And what is wrong with your cell phone?"
"My dog ate it!"
"Your dog ate it?"
"Yes, my dog ate my cell phone"
(Silence)
"Hello??"
(Laughter)

Yes it was a lovely conversation!!

Beau ate the instruction booklet that came with my DVD/VCR player. Fortunately, it was online, and I could print it at home!

ROFL - I used to try to do aerobics in the living room....What a JOKE! When I had to lay down on the floor to do my stretches and such, all I got was lots of Boxer kisses........I gave up the exercising and starting wrestling with Buster instead! Much more fun!!!

A couple of months after we got Bingo, my mother borrowed a set of dog training tapes for my husband and I from the local library, where she works. We had almost gotten through watching one of them and had to go out to a family party for a few hours. Apparently Bingo wasn't too happy we had brought those tapes home, because I came home to pieces of video tape from one end of the house to the other....he had chewed two of tapes to pieces and had taken a few bites out of the third tape, just enough so it couldn't be fixed. Luckily he was fine, hadn't eaten any of the pieces, just destroyed them so we, or anyone else, couldn't watch them anymore! I had to call my mother and the library to explain what had happened. Apparently everyone found the situation as humorous as we did because they didn't make us replace the tapes!

I have tried to do yoga on the living room floor. have even made sure that katie is deep asleep. Apparently, she has the floor bugged or something. She has to come down to the floor and give me loads of kisses and then she has to stand on me if i dont get up. Goodness, I just can't meditate with an 80lb boxer on my chest!

"the dog ate my homework"

One night my husband was up late working on some motions for court the next day. He ended up falling asleep on the couch with the lap top on his belly and all of his "attachments" and "research" spread around him. Unfortunately Mason got up early in the morning to go find his daddy and found that there was alot of "shredding" material to keep him busy until daddy or mommy woke up up. My Husband was awoken to the sounds of his research materials being shredded to pieces!!!! Thankfully he had completed whatever he was working on and didn't neccessarily need the materials anymore! Thank God cause could you imagine him having to go to court and explain to the Judge that "the dog ate my motions"!!! LOL I crack up just thinking about it ( although I am sure my Husband didn't/doesn't share my amusement)
