Earlier today i spread some lawn pesticide to kill fleas and ants (but mostly fleas) i followed the directions and all i understood was too water the lawn immediatly after, which i did. but it says nothing about wether or not i can let my pup roam on the grass or how long i must wait. Generally, when is the best time to allow leo back on the lawn?

Wait for access to the lawn until AFTER you have had a GOOD SOAKING RAIN.
Unless you watered HEAVILY for HOURS you can't be sure that all of the chemical has seeped down into the soil and completely off the grass.
This applies for any type of fertilizers/insecticides/pesticides applied to ones lawn.

i live in california so it wont rain here for a while, however i did turn the sprinklers on for about an hour and a half right after i spread the pesticide. maybe if i turn it on for another 30mins-1hr it should be good for leo to wonder around again?

To be honest I wouldn't allow my dog on any lawn that had chemicals applied to it until I was sure that it was not going to transfer to her. Better to be safe than sorry.
You could call the manufacturer and get their opinion or look up their info online about pet exposure.
I'd actually tell them that you were inquiring about a HUMAN child being allowed in the grass. You get more HONEST info when humans are added to the mix!
Their contact info will be on the packaging.

If the chemicals are still above ground it will get on your shoes and your pups feet and end up in your house too.

I agree 100% and do not forget after they are out there they will still lick thier paws, thier coat... And do not rely on the manufacturer to tell you the truth :) There are more and more natural remedies out there. Do a google search! Good luck
