Laser Pointer Fun :)

I just wanted to thank you all for suggesting the laser pointer...I bought one yesterday and Rolen absolutely loves it! He is so funny to watch chasing the red dot around like a mad man! It definitely wears him out And like we all know...a tired boxer is a good boxer!

I recently got a laser pointer as well and Mindy goes crazy over it! That is part of my plan for winter exercise.

I have a question though, does anyone else's dog get obssessed with it? If we play with the laser pointer in the morning, Mindy will look for it for at least 4 hours after we are done and sometimes, she is looking for it the rest of the day. I am starting to wonder if what she is doing is healthy and if I should stop using it. Sorry to hijack this thread, but anyone else's pups do that?

panic with laser pointers

We had to train Charlie with keywords to start and finish the game. We cant say the words dot game now and not have a laser pointer in hand unless we want massive non ending pounces. Once we are done outside we head inside and then I lead the pointer into the pantry and say dot go bye and give everyone a treat. Now a days they are licking their chops when the dot gets inside the pantry. After that nobody goes looking for the dot. But prior to having words to say begin and end the fun oh yea if the dot disappeared both Charlie and later when we got her, Lucy would go insane with worry about where it went.
