L.A. Celebrity BowWowWeen 10/30/05

I can't decide what to do but I think we are no longer going to the Howl'OWeen Dog parade in LongBeach...instead we might go to BowWowWeen in Los Angeles. I noticed Boxer Rescue L.A. is going to be there. Tori Spelling & Amber Thiesen are judges plus the Animal Planet guy Matt Gallant is the MC...so that makes it pretty tempting. & theres a couple dog magazine going to be there too (ok, I am dreaming of boxer fame now hehe)

Is anyone else in going? Anyone go last year?

We decided we're for sure going to BowWowWeen. We're moving to the valley in January & it'll be so close to L.A. I'd like to see the booths they have because it might me useful to us when we move.

i saw something about this on the LA boxer rescue site and was thinking of taking Sydney, but not sure how well she'll handle such a long car ride. Still trying to convince my boyfriend to let us go =)

Awwee, Charlie usually sleeps in car rides that are long so we don't worry about that. He's only 4 mos. how old is yours? Target has some cute costumes if you are looking & they aren't too expensive. SO does all the costume stores that are out, I noticed they have a doggie section hehe.

If you want we could meet Sunday morning before going so they can play & meet eachother. Since you are near us Our friend is bringing his Boston Terrier I think too & he'll be with us if he decides to go.

Sydney usually walks around the backseat, constantly looking out one window then the other. She'll only lay down and sleep if its dark out. She's currently 6 1/2 months, i have a few pictures of her up on my website: http://sydney.vonali.com

I checked out target today after work, but couldnt find any dog costumes :(

I think I may have convinced my boyfriend to go on Sunday, it would be cool to meet up and let Sydney play with Charlie. She seems to have the most fun when playing with other boxers.

OMG! She is darling!!! & looks about the same size as Charlie is right now. I think he weighs about 35 lbs. We have a harness seatbelt that keeps Charlie from wandering too much. He got so used to it that if we ever don't put it on he usually stays sitting or laying in one spot even without it. Only time he doesn't is if it is really hot, he gets on the floor where he can feel the air conditioning better. Not sure if you'd be interested but you're welcome to borrow it for the long ride up if you want, just to check it out. It works best at first if someone can sit in the back with her.

Too bad target ran out, yesterday the one on Alicia had a cute dinosaur, frog & lady bug. I imagine people have been busy buying last minute supplies for Halloween. Petco & petsmart should still have theirs out.

It should only take an hour or so to get to BowWowWeen, so if we leave at 11a from this area it should be plenty of time. Did you want to meet at 10a somewhere? It will help to make them tired & sleepy for the car ride to play first too
