Kong for new pup

just wondering, hope this is in the right forum, I would love to get our new pup a kong to play with b/c i have heard you guys say they are great! however, our pup will be 8wks and I didn't know what I should fill the kong with at this age. I didn't want to upset his stomach with peanut butter or anything else. any tips?

I got Riley at 7 weeks and she had a puppy kong from day one. At first, I filled it with the liver kong paste that they sell at pet stores, but after I ran out of that I used peanut butter. Riley was just fine...puppy kongs aren't really that big so you're not putting much of whatever you choose into them. Riley is a peanut butter piggy and I've never seen her react adversely to the small amounts she gets.

Tyson LOVES the liver paste. I get it from Petco. I fill up the kong w/ that and some other yummy treats and freeze it. I definitely recommend freezing it. Keeps them entertained a lot longer!
