Vet confirmed what I had read and heard from other owners: Boxers tend to have digestive problems that are, at times, inexplicable. Continue on with the current high quality food. No worms; no parasites to speak of at this point though.

Now that is what we were all hoping would happen. Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and NOW we know that you really do love that baby of yours. I am like the others, can't wait to see pics of her. Thank you for making my day.

sorry, but I have to respond to that. The image of a dog wrapped up in a jacket juxtaposed with shooting a poor deer in the head... you may have some more evolving to do, imo.

I was filming deer thank you, I took a deer earlier in the year, and you dont shoot deer in the head. Shes love going to the deer stand, she sits and wags her nub the whole time while watching deer. But thank you for judging me right out of the gate.

Thanks for posting an update on Kona--I was afraid that after the "beating" you took that we might not hear from you again! I am glad that Kona checked out okay with the vet and that she is now an inside dog, as she should be.
And let me add my apologies to the rest if my posting seemed harsh--it was never intended with any malice, just concern for your dog, and as the others have also said--please stick with us--there is a lot of good info on this site and lots of fun, lighthearted posting as well! Its too bad your first "visit" was a rough one! Hope to see some pics of Kona soon and share some happy stories as well!
**also--there is TONS of great information on high quality dog foods, so if you continue to have issues with Kona's digestive problems, there is lots of help to be found here and I am sure just about every possible food and problem has been covered extensively!

I know this thread has nothing to do with the deer comment, but I cannot believe that dy74 would type that TXJOLE still has some evolving to do, that comment was so rude. Everyone has different beliefs and that's the way the world works. PEOPLE PLEASE!!!!!! Can't we all just get along???

daziegirl4, as a life long hunter, I learn to look past peoples ignorance. Fact is Kona has been checked by a vet and all nice and warm. Thats all we all wanted. Flaming me for being a hunter is pointless, I can assure you of that.

Backfist-good for you! I'm happy to hear that you got Kona to the vet and that you took her in the house. If you do a search here, you will find lots of useful information and some different ideas of why she has diarrhea. Hopefully something will work for her. Good luck to you and your baby.

Well i just wanted to add, i know if feels like everyone went rraaaagggghhh at you, (jumped down your throat), but like you have read before, there is sooo many people on here that just love and care, not just for the dogs but (as you will find out) their owners too, and you made people stressed for a while, but it is marvelous (and it goes to show) that being on here for a while can change your opinoin about things!!!!

I totally second that. Boxers (and their owners) are truly a unique and ultimately wonderful breed - even if, at times, they can be exasperating and in-your-face.

backfist, you just proved that BW is a great community to come to for advise and support for all your boxer questions and concerns! You also proved that you do love your boxer enough to do what's best for her!
I know that most of us can get very passionate when it comes to the care of our boxers. Please don't confuse this passion for rudeness. Most of us have come to realize that educating some people about the breed is almost pointless as we often see or hear of many cases of abuse and neglect, and it just tears us up inside! However, as in this case, our advise is not always falling on deaf ears. I'm very glad you decided to stay with us instead of permantely logging off of BW! Kudos to you! appicon
Kona will love and appreciate you even more now! And now that she's inside with her pack, you will get to learn and enjoy every aspect of the boxers charachter!
*a side note regarding the comment about deer hunting...PALEEZE people! Don't we all have different interests and hobbies? We may not have to agree with everyones lifestyles, but imagine if we were all the same? What a boring world this would be. I think we all agree that these types of judgemental comments do not belong on BW!
