My little (almost nine weeks old) boxer boy has what his breeder called a "knowledge knot" on his head. Not really sure what it is or if the term even exists. My vet says all dogs have the "ridge" in the back and that he feels it is not an issue, just the shape of his "unique head". But, obviously being a nervous Mommy, I wondered if anyone had ever heard of such a thing. It is not THAT noticable and of course I have absolutely no problem with it, he is still the most beautiful boy I have ever seen, I was just curious. Will try to post photos soon, (waiting on disc)., would love some feedback, thanks!

If I'm getting the correct visual from your description, I think you're talkin about the puppy 'conehead'...I think it's fairly common for young pups to have this since their skulls are still developing and growing. If you look at pictures of young boxer pups you will see that many of them have coneheads...and as they grow up the conehead flattens out.

However, my new rescue Cali is 1 now and still has a conehead...so I guess she's just gonna be a puppy forever!
