Ive been meaning to post thi question for a while i just keep forgetting.
Before I got Cinnamon, we only had our GSD Brandy. Brandy sleeps in my parents room and the floor is really cold. Now that shes getting older her joints and bones ache, so I bought her a bed. A really big pillow made for dogs. I thought it just had reular stuffing in it, but when i got it home and took the cardboard off it and read the cardboard, it said it was filled with "nature's natural flea remedy" and that remedy was cedar stuffing. Its this green stuffing stuff (not liek cedar hamster shavings). Any way the stuffing is in the pillow shich in turn is covered with a pillow case. After about month, Brandys eyes started to get red and she got lots of eye boogers, but we didnt directly associate the pillow with this. We brought her to the vet and they gave her drops...It didnt clear up.
A few months later I got Cinnamon. At first she was in a crate with a fleece blanket as it was cozy for her because the crate was for a small dog and she was a puppy. But she grew out of it and so I bought her the same bed as Brandy has. After a few weeks Cin got eye boogers so then we knew it was the bed. I covered cins bed with a fleece blanket an did the same with Brandys. Cins eyes got better but Brandys didnt. Brandy no longer sleeps with hers, we took old patio chair cushions and covered them with a comforter and now thats her bed. Cinnamon now has brandys bed along with hers and theyre covered with a comforter.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this or knows anything about the "cedar stuffing"?
