Don't know what it's about either but mine are always kissing each other's tongues Dh is horrified because they are both males (Please no offense to anyone

You should have seen it when they announced in class that Buster had been neutered, the men were horrified. I often wonder how it is that they have no problems with spaying a girl dog. LOL!!!!! Oh I know, My Dh didn't like me getting Dozer neutered either. But like I always say it's probably because I had him "fixed" too He flips when they are licking each other and one goes "down there" I say they're just cleaning each other and I get the "Yeah right!"

actually, licking another dog's face or muzzle is a submissive gesture. It is also done by pup's in order to gain attention or food from their mother.
maybe your boxers just have tasty chops! heehee--do they save a little extra in those lips of theirs for snacking?!
also--"in the wild" wolf pups will lick a returning mother wolf's muzzle to stimulate her to regurgitate some of the hunt so that they can eat!

Chancey would do this to Kiddo after they played hard....Chancey would wear Kiddo(alpha) out and could obviously win any fight if they decided to get serious. I think Chancey was just showing Kiddo her "submissive respect" with the mouth licking....Kiddo never did it to Chancey.Towards the end I did find Kiddo licking Chanceys back every once in a while though...kind gave me a heads up Kiddo was getting weaker.

Stella licks Porter's face all the time, she also goes deep in his ears and licks the goo off his eyes, kinda nasty but it is definitely a sign of submission like it was mentioneed earlier. Of course Porter loves it! She will also come and lick his jaw to show that she wants to play with him.
Cooper and Tucker lick eachother constantly and yet Cooper still tries to attack Tucker all of the time...? I love it when they're licking though, sometimes they will be playing so hard and then out of nowhere they both stop give a few licks and continue on...it's too cute!

My Doxie and Boxer Boy Clean each other every AM. It is their daily ritual...I think it is them just keeping eachother clean and showing love. When Crosby is really pooped out Lilly (doxie) goes to town on cleaning him up and playing kissy face. It is sooooo cute, we love it.
