Kisses.....getting sick??

There was a short period when Spirit was being denied kisses to our faces and that was ONLY because we caught him eating at the "Doggie-Doo Diner"!! I mean, that's just gross! He has since been "DETERRED" and he washes our faces daily! Xena is not a licker...she is trained to kiss with her lips...not her tongue! :D The only problem I have with being kissed by ANY dog is hives! The saliva makes me VERY VERY itchy! :(

I love Tessa's kisses.....she's my baby – why not get a kiss from the one you love! One of her favourite ways to get a treat is to give me a kiss first. As for healing, I have to add that when I think I'm getting a blemish and Tessa licks it, it almost immediately disappears. May be coincidental, but I’m convinced!

Actually, the opposite is true. It is the cat's mouth that is cleaner than humans. Dogs actually have a much dirtier mouth than us. Not that I don't loooove the kisses from them, but here is something that I posted about before. My friend works in the medical field and received HPV (herpes) from a dog. She allowed a patients dog to lick her face, not knowing...
When she was tested for her yearly physical (also NOT being sexually active), they told her she was HPV positive. Her last yearly exam, she was not. They traced it back to a patient who was HPV positive and allowed her dog to lick her face. In return, it was transmitted to my friend. The dog becomes the carrier and can transmit, but it won't hurt them in any way. Same way in that some people can become HIV carriers and not be affected by the disease itself. Her doctor verfied this with her. The person would have to have an outbreak in order for this to happen, as it remains dormant in the system.

doggies mouths! the myths!
okay so they lick their hineys profusely so i think that's why alot of folks go nuts about doggy kisses. but fact or myth the thing i always heard growing up was a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans for the fact that the germs we have cant survive in their mouth. meaning you get sick your dog licks your face and sucks up your germs......how many of these nurse puppies you ever seen with a human head cold? granted they get their own but that's what people always told me regarding their mouths are cleaner than ours. safer to be licked by your dog than your spouse or tot when they have the flu
and if ya ever wanna wig someone out who's got doggy mouth germy phobias get a huge ole
lypop or a doggy bone and stick that sucker in yer mouth and then to the dog and back.......omg that so squigs mah man. my dad used to do it with the milk bone dog biscuits give a dog a bite eat the other half and we used to squigg well......then i got used to it and now carry on the sick tradition

Well whichever side one chooses...there is no way i would stop Nina from kissing me and the kids.....its just in Nina's nature to lick everyone till they is not a dry spot leftLOL
We just came back from a walk and the pulling has stopped...I am glad i did not end up getting any new gadget collar for her....as i realized that just ME teaching her to heal....would be the key...and ofcourse a HUGE amount of treats on hand...It was AMAZING....i actually had a loose leash...and she was right by my left foot...everytime i stopped so did she....It was a pleasure to walk her....NOW if only my 3 kids would get off their --- and walk instead of me pulling them in the wagon...i would have REALLY enjoyed the walk
We ran into another boxer....they actually waited for us in their driveway when they saw us walking and invited us over in tha backyard for the KIDS to play.....They have a male brindle and Nina had a ball....her 1st playdate!!!
Nina is sleeping exhausted!!!LOL
