Keys....

Ok now I know we have all heard the horror stories of dogs taking keys and hiding them from their owners...but this is a cute one...:p At night when I walk Cola - I ususally carry my keys and I have a 'rope' if you will that goes around your neck so you don't have to carry them. I'm sure you all know those trendy keychains, they say Polo or whatever on them, anyway my girl loves to take the rope part and put it in her mouth and run so that the keys jingle and she just looks soooo cute because she is still tiny (4 months) and low to the ground so she has to keep her head up high so the keys don't drag or she doesn't trip. I need to video tape this because she also 'shakes' the keys so hard I was afraid she would hurt herself but she loves it. It's only when we go for a long stroll at night because I let her off of her leash so she can run around my development freely. It's like she prances, look at me jingle jingle jingle...anyway just thought I would share that with you all, does anybody elses boxer luv keys???? ;)

 Trish I am with you. When mine hear keys, they go straight to the door to block me from getting out of it. But they put rope toys in their mouths and shake them so hard one would think they are hurting themselves. Why do they do this anyway??

Same with me Trish. Nino hates the sound of keys. As soon as I pick up the keys he has a big sad face that looks like its dragging on the floor - especially in the morning when he knows I'm going to work:(

My two boys instantly run to the door when I grab my keys. They think it's time to go bye-bye!

Jazzy surprised me one day when I picked up my purse to go someplace. It is a satchel type shoulder bag that I leave hanging on the closet door. I always take my keys out of my purse and put them on my arm before I leave the house. My keychain is the type that looks like Jailer's keys and fit over my wrist, making it easier to open the car when I have them in place. I could relate to her responding the the jingle of keys, but she reacted when I picked up my purse. She started doing the Boxer Twist and jumping up and down and ran to the door. She loves to go and I wish my health was better so I could take both of them out more.

Aimee....maybe yours are telling you, "Don't leave Momma! Play With Us!".;) Maddy does that sometimes when were about to leave...she'll go grab one of her toys and bring it to us. It's so cute....like she's saying, "Don't leave! You'd have much more fun playing with me!".foolicon

I'm with the rest of you though...Madison hates it when she hears the keys. She'll start whining and sulking.....and then tries the toy trick on us.grin2icon

Coleman adores keys! When we are returning from our morning walk, I let him carry them home. You would think I have given him the best treat in the world. It sure makes the neighbours laugh. Unfortunatley one set of keys had the garge door opener on it and after several up and downs of the door, Coleman broke the whole mechanism! Now I give him a regular key holder. Ironically it has a little Coleman latern on it...
