Just wondering...What do you feed?

WHat do you feed your boxers?

We fed Harlie Iams Puppy food when we first got her but after a few weeks she decided she didnt like it and refused to eat it.

Next we just tried Purina Puppy Chow to see if it was the food taste she didnt like or else food in general. She ate this for a while, we mixed in Iams so she wouldnt get diarehha, and she picked them all out and put them on the floor hahaha! very funny to watch!! Anyways so we decided to just give it to her all Purina since that was how she was eating it anyways, well after a few weeks, she didnt like that either! finicky girl!!

Well now she is on Nutro Large Breed Puppy Chow, and she is eating it just fine so far, and has been on it for about a month.

Well what do you reccomend? Is Nutro a good brand? What do you use? Just wondering...

I had the same question when I got Ellie. I thougth that Iam's was the best but then I was giving her Purina Healthy Morels. Well at her first Vet visit I asked what he thought was a good choice for puppy food. He told me to give her Purina puppy chow for large breeds becuase it will help her get the nutrients she needs and help her grow healthy and strong. I have been giving that to her for the last 3 months that I have had her and she loves it.

I was feeding my dogs IAMS for a couple years, they were doing good on it, but I wasn't so happy with all the fillers, so I switched to Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice about 3 weeks ago. My dogs really love it and are doing wonderful on it. I know it's not the very best food. I probably would feed Wellness or Canidae if it was sold around here. I would have to have it sent to me... that would cost a ton of money each month. My dogs go through about 40 pounds of kibble per month. You'll also find much more if you do a search on feeding. But, I'm happy with Nutro and so are my babies.

I just switched my little gut to wellness chicken today, and today was the first time he ate the whole bowl of food in about a week. We will see what happens, he used to be on flint river but had some really loose stools.

Jmb-Boxers are not large breeds, they are medium breeds, so Harlie shouldn't be on Large breed puppy food. With that said Niko eats Canidae and loves it, no fillers, just pure nutrition and vitamins, he is doing great on it and loves it!

Puppies don't need "Puppy Food" anyway.

You should be fine feeding normal dog food. Food for all life stages are the ideal type.

Are you kidding or feeding ultra premium food?
I feed Ava Wellness puppy food and so far I am impressed.
