I have just switched my 18 week old pup to a all raw diet his first meal was a ground up veggie/fruit and chicken with bone pre made store bought mix and I added chicken back to is also. His first stool sample was all liquid. Is this normal? and how long should I expect this to last? should I adjust so that he is getting more chicken and bone in the mix?

Any suggestions or comments on the topic would be much help thanks.

I don't think it is abnormal for what you fed him. I would, however, recommend that you hold on the veggies for a few weeks. When switching to raw it is normally recommended that you feed ONE single food item at a time. That (a) enables the dog's system to get used to raw foods instead of kibble gently, and (b) allows you to identify easily any particular items that he may be allergic to or may not agree with his system, or that he just plain doesn't like.

So if I were you I would back up a little. Feed him just chicken backs, necks and other parts for two or three weeks. Then you can start to add in different meats, and fruits/vegetables. But do it *one thing at a time*. So that means, for example, introducing carrots on their own. Not carrots, celery, apples, spinach and pumpkin all together. That way, if carrots happen to upset his tummy, he is allergic to them, to he just doesn't like them, you will find that out easily.
