I've really steped up the training with T-bone (50lb f/fawn) in the last couple of weeks. She is 2 1\2 years old and always been a good girl. To get to the point . . . We walked around the block yesterday with no leash! Can you beleive that. She stayed right by my side and looked at me the whole time. I never thought I would ever be able to be outside with out a leash. She's been so good lately, we play out back and she listens and comes when called. I've decided to get more excited when I work with her. I bring treats and make her do tricks when we walk. So she is always paying attention. The best is when I make her stand up (on her hind legs) and then toss treats and she catches them standing up. Everybody loves that one. We can even work with distractions! I just had to brag a little. Can I say though she never is a problem with anything at all anymore. I just recently (3 months) have been letting her out of her crate when I'm not home. Not one problem. I have been spending more and more time with her and falling more and more in love with here. I've been looking forward to spending time with her again setting aside whole days just to play. It was frustrating walking with her all the pulling and distractions. Everything is great. I'm so amazed at how she turned out. And kinda proud of myself too. Thanks for listening. . .

Good for you! It takes a lot of time and commitment to get any dog to that level of obedience.

I hope - some day - to get to where you are now. I foresee a long road ahead. I do look forward to the journey though. It is fun to see them make progress, and I know how proud you must feel with you (and T-bone's) accomplishments.

Congratulations!! You SHOULD be very proud not only of T-Bone but of yourself as well !! Job well done. I think there is no greater joy than to see your dog look at you, in eager anticipation of your next command, and joyously carrying out your wishes. The DO just want to please you.

Again, congratulations on a job well done. See what a little patience and a lot of love can bring. The rewards are SO worth the time and effort. Now you can relax more and enjoy your dog and the time you get to spend with one another.

Congratulaitons T-Bone appicon I'm too much of a worry wart to ever let mine off lead in an uncontained area. I'm always afraid of "what could" happen. You've done a fantastic job...Kudos to both of you!
