I'm glad Ace is okay but honestly, I don't understand how you could have stayed after the tail pulling incident. I would have been out of there after the first beer incident, but I can see how if a group of people (I'm guessing teenagers or very young adults) are hanging out and that happened ONCE, one might stick around thinking it wouldn't happen again. But pulling Ace's tail is physical abuse, plain and simple. Thank goodness you won't be letting Ace around that jerk again! Good for you and who cares if they call you over protective, you know what's best!

Just a thought, but you might want to give him a bath. Fluorescent light bulbs contain a small amount of mercury which you don't really want on him or all over everything he touches.
