I don't have a definate answer for you but I can say, stop this now. We didn't think much about it when Hammer was tiny and did this, but I can tell ya, let a 5 month old 45 pound Boxer do this to ya and you'll see how serious it is. Hammer about knocked me out one morning!!

From what I've learned with Hammer, use a stern no when she lunges and do not reward her in any way. Don't touch her, walk away and stop playing, and don't laugh no matter how funny she looks. This was a problem with me, but laughter I have learned is positive reinforcement to a Boxer baby! Then distract her with another toy.

Welcome to BW! Good luck and I am sure you will get great advice here!

Hi and welcome to BW!
All i can say is that whatever ya do,, stop this now, as ssleighter said, it won't be funny or playful once they get grown, i had the same problem with my pup bama, 'cept that he got me, and bit my lip. Let me tell ya it hurt, but i told him no, set him on the floor and walked away for a gooooood long time i didn't play with him or look at him hardly. he learned that he couldn't do that anymore. And trust me, when they do get grown, they'll do a lot more damage than just a nip on the lip. if he does it with anyone else, let them tell him no as well, and whoever is there,, noone play with him. Just my opinion and agreeing with ssleighter :)
But on a lighter note, congrats on your new pup, i'm sure you'll have a great time with him :):)
