I was just wondering...at about what age do boxers, on average, stop growing? Brandi is 14 months old and weighs 55 1/2 pounds. The vet says she looks good. She is very sleek, muscular and strong...one of my best friends is only 4'10" and when Brandi forgets her manners and jumps on her, Robin nearly ends up on her rear! Just wondered if at this age she's about maxed out or can we expect her to grow a little more.Brandi's our first boxer so we just don't know what to expect always.

I can't quite remember, and I just tread it in a boxer book awhile ago!! I think it's a couple of years atleast!!

Oh dear....my poor house...

When I took her to the vet for shots in March she weighed 47 lbs and when I took her in for something a few weeks ago she weighed 55 1/2. 8 pounds in 3 1/2 months seemed a lot to me but she's not overweight at all...just filled out and healthy. Guess we'll have to see what the future holds....thanks!

I believe they physically mature around 2 to 3 years..closer to 2 ?

As far as when they stop growing I am pretty sure it is close to age 2.

Samantha just turned 1 Year Old and she is 63 pounds.

Mason had a huge growth spurt at age 2. Aspen was "full grown" by about
1 1/2 years.

Apollo stopped growing around 1 1/2; but really "filled out" after he turned 2. He's not as "ribby" now.

That is a bit scarry... My dog is at about 45 pounds and he is not even 6 months yet.... And he is definately not overweight, in fact he still shows some ribs when he walks.... I am thinking that he may end up being a lot larger than I originally thought he would be.

Beau is 25" at the withers and 87-90 lbs of boxer. Last time I took him to the vet the vet tech remarked how muscular he is. He is a BIG BOY but so was his Dad.......that is why I picked him
