Our 9 wk old puppy plays, sleeps, potties, sleeps and sleeps some more! It's great because it gives us a break since we watch him like a hawk while he is awake. I am just curious how long he will sleep most of the time. What have your experiences been??

Most puppies sleep a lot just like babies, make the most of it :)
I think Zeb stopped sleeping nearly all the time at around 13 - 14 weeks old.

enjoy the peace while it lasts.

I second that! Stella used to sleep so much, I was actually concerned. I thought, geez, there's got to be something wrong with her. She'd fall asleep while playing. Nothing wrong - I think they "save" that energy for later

yeah, i have to say, it has been nice and he just looks so cute when he sleeps!! We'll be playing and the next second he is out. I know it wont last long. We have had alot of visitors over to see him and every time he's sleeping!! I guess it's kind of like the calm before the storm...

Don't worry, that sounds normal. They have bursts of energy and then collapse in a heap! As he grows he will get into a routine :)

Rocky slept all the time when he was a little pup. He still sleeps quite a bit now. I honeslty think the only time he's really awake is in the morning before we got to work and in the evening when we get home. There have been a few times when we'll get home earlier in the afternoon and he's just sleeping away or on the weekends he sleeps a lot during the day too. I'm sure it's habit for him.

Molly is 13 wks tomorrow and she sleeps a lot! Honestly, she wakes up around 7:30, eats, poos, plays with a chewy for thirty minutes, sleeps until noon, wakes up, eats, poos, sleeps on and off until about 5, then she's active until about 9 then sleeps the rest of the night.

I used to think something was wrong with her-- but the vet says she is 100% healthy. She is growing like a weed, and that requires sleep. We joke that everytime she wakes up from one of her "marathon naps" that her feet look bigger. :) I'm sure your fur baby is just the same!
