Just Because He's Big...(vent)

The other day, I was outside with Peja. An elderly woman was walking down the street with her Yorkie and Peja saw them and walked closer to her. When she saw Peja coming, she got so freaked out that she was actually pulling her poor dog up by the leash in an attempt to pick him up. I was telling her that he would not hurt her dog, that he was friendly, but she just kept trying to get her dog away. The dog was actually hanging off the ground and choking as she was pulling up on the leash.She was causing her dog more pain than Peja ever would. Now when she walks by, she won't even look in my direction and when I say Hi, she pretends not to hear!

Our poor babies! I guess it really takes special people to appreciate boxers. But I suppose I should be glad MORE people don't love them....as there would be more cases of neglect and abuse.

"I had such a close call today! Thanks to my quick reflexes, I saved Frostie from being torn to bits by a Pitbull!!!" It is annoying, I agree, but after all, they're just people who love and overprotect their babies. My mother drives me nuts overprotecting her cat. She's convinced he's going to be crushed by the electric garage door some day, so she won't close it without standing guard until it's all the way down. She's so cute.

The expressions on people's faces when they see Beau are priceless. He is the sweetest thing in the world-so I die laughing when grown men jump back when they see him. I think it's great. They're not going to break into my house!!!!

Well, I have learned that I can't control my boxer....from licking people. I have to yell "He's a licker!" when Buddy goes charging off to say hello. I have now learned to just keep him on a leash when we are out front. I love these dogs!
