Just adopted a rescue, is he full Boxer? (pics)

He looks like a boxer to me too.

My male Zeus is a big guy as well. He is 6 and just about 27 inches tall and 110lbs. We always get people saying he is a american bulldog or has mastiff in him. The one that always makes me laugh is when someone says he is a pitt bull. I have never seen a tall and big pit. Congrats on your new baby. He is a cutie.

Jamie- I have had someone tell me he was a boxer/pitt mix. I thought the same thing as you. Wouldn't pitt make him shorter and stockier? I don't see that at all.

Anyway, I couldn't be happoer with my guy and to realize he is a "boxer" is even better, as I have fallen for the breed after reading all your posts!

People are always asking if he is part Mastiff

His head is shaped just like my Sandy's. He is adorable.
They are all individuals, just like kids. My two are as different as night and day, one is petite, one is big and husky, but they are both totally boxer.

My initial response was mastiff x boxer and that is what he looks like to me. But those are both great breeds so hopefully you'll get the best of both breeds rolled into one dog. So if he isn't 100% boxer, that would be my guess.

He looks like a boxer to me too. I think the only thing that would throw someone off would be the full tail. My Joe doesn't have the smooshed nose really either and he is full boxer. Actually he doesn't have as bad of sinuses because of it, but he still snores like crazy! HAHA..

Also Kudos to you for rescuing a boxer!!!!

To be honest, that's my first thought too - boxer/pitt mix. He wouldn't necessarily be shorter or stockier if he were mixed with a standard pit bull. But, it's his eyes that make me think that. He looks a lot like my Rosie in the eyes, and she is a pitt/beagle mix. But, he could just as easily be a boxer from a poor blood line. Who knows. Either way, he's gorgeous! He just has the sweetest face I've ever seen!

Full boxer or not, I think he's adorable!! I am not going to venture a guess as to whether or not he's full boxer or not. He is 100% cute though and that's all that matters. Congrats on your new addition!

I have been around boxers almost all of my life and he sure looks 100% boxer to me. Handsome boy!
