Hello everyone!! I need some advice!! I have an eight month old beautiful brindle girl named Inde. She is quick to learn and has the normal behavior problems associated with a puppy. Here is my wonder - she will not jump on the bed or in the car. I know she can jump, because when we are playing she will jump for a toy or treat. When I get into the bed and try to coax her on it she will crawl her way up to the bed and also in the car. I have tried treats, toys and any other way I can.

Does anyone have any ideas?? Is she afraid or do you have any great tricks?? Thanks for the help!

Well, did you get her from a pup? It's just that if she has been lead to believe that being on the bed is bad (and has been punished for it), she may now be scared?

Bella is also 8 months and never gets off the bed! lol

I have had Inde since she was 8 weeks old and she has been allowed on the bed from the first week. She loves to be on the bed, she just crawls her way up there. It is like she can't make the connection between jumping up for a treat and jumping forward for the bed or car. I really have no ideas how to train her differently.

When she jumps for a treat, put a command word to it such as "Jump" or "UP" and then she'll start to make the association between the word and the behavior. Then you can get her to jump when needed, on command.

Good luck.
