I have been reading the threads on the issues of jumping and some are helpful but mine is a little different. Never having owned a puppy always resuced older Boxers so PLEASE I need help with this little one. He is just shy of 4 months and is a doll but 2 issues and one I was able to find a solution from reading the forum how to correct, but my other one just cropped up. When he is out in the yard with me he runs around with that wonderful energy that they have and all of a sudden he launches himself at me, he thinks this is great fun. I have tried turning away from him and walking away but he is so fast!!! I cannot raise my knees to block him due to disabilities and don't want to use my canes or crutches for fear of hurting him. He is absolutely fearless of them, thanks for any suggestions on how to correct this behavior. I need to let him run to get rid of some of his energy because when we walk I am very slow and he does tolerate my gait but he is a puppy and needs the exercise. With my Seymour, I leash trained him to know when it was time to calm down. Whenever he jumped on me when we were playing he would get put on his leash for down time. I never yelled at him, just a firm "no" and "sit." I used a held out fist to teach him sit because when he sees it stretched from my body it gets his attention. Once he sat I leashed him and stood in one spot. Typically, he would sit for a few seconds then lay down and give me a look that seemed to say "I get it, mom." After that he wouldn't jump on me. I don't know if that would work for ALL boxers, but it worked for me!
Of course, you need to have a good base training. Is your puppy learning basic commands like sit and lay down? If so, it'll be easier to do the leash training.

Jumping & Biting & doesn't know "NO"...
I've now got my 2nd boxer puppy who is about 4 1/2 months old. Knows sit, down, shake and learns quickly. She has always been a biter and now jumps and bites and thinks it's great fun. WILL NOT STOP when she gets in her crazed mode. We put her in 'time out' in her crate for a few minutes and she comes out with the same behavior. Tried ignoring her, turning my back....but when she gets going she is not going to listen to anything we say. She doens't bite hard but she acts ferocious.....we're taking her to OFF Leash obedience school but not until November.....I'm so frustrated because she's so sweet when she's behaving. Please, help!!!

With Dutch, when he gets overly worked up, I say "enough", and then I do use the method of ignore and turn your back, and if he tries to move around in front to get our attention, we just turn away again. Dutch is a VERY stubborn egg, but this method, for us, works, just firm "enough", and a complete and utter, turn back and ignore, eventually they figure out it isn't fun anymore and then quit. It takes crazy patience tho'. 
My husband isn't as good at the "ignore" as I am, he tries to give a firm "no", over and over again, but that just works Dutch up even more, then he starts to bark, but, eventually Mike uses my method, and boom.....Dutch gives up and goes and lays down. I really love getting to do the "I was right and you were wrong" dance. :D

Sounds like my house!!! My hubby is big on the loud NO's & NO JUMPING & NO BITING and they get louder and louder. You're right, I think it just becomes part of Maggie's play. It is what I'm attempting now, altho it is hard to keep quiet when she's almost at your shoulder or grabs a love roll on my back....but she does eventually SIT & then I praise.....I also really need to get her move exercise....walks....we have a fenced in yard and unless I go out with her to play she tends to just investigate.....I really appreciate your response!appicon
