Jumping the fence

Yeah, you are right about the heat and we would never leave her outside for that long in the high temps. It is still spring here in Dallas but summer will be here soon and we'll have to crate her. Anyway, thanks for the advice about telling her "no" when she is up there. However, it's hard to catch her in the act unless we set her up. If anyone has any other ideas, please let us know. Thanks!:)

In the book Clicking With Your Dog by Peggy Tillman there is suggestion of putting a free rotating pvc pipe on top of the fence.

In the pic it looks pretty good. When to dog puts their weight against the pvc it will just roll them right off.

I had to buy an outdoor run with a top on it and fencing on the bottom underneath the shavings, cause my boy in his younger days would jump a six foot fence or climb would be a better word, so I had to put a top on the kennel, then he would dig under it, so then I had to put fencing on the floor of the kennel, and covered it with wood shavings. Plus put a clip or lock on the door latch to keep him from pushing it up and getting out!! I tell ya, he tested my patience when he was young. :p
