Ah, please help..

Logan went through puppy training with flying colors, he does just about everything youd want your dog to do..

however...he has these problems that i need to correct :-/

1. going out...he just sits by the back door and whimpers once...if noone comes, or doesnt hear him..he goes right on the floor....(90% of the time, he gets our attention....but i wish he would bark or come harass me or something....)..also...even without whimpering by the door..he loves to pee all over the house to mark his spot...how do i correct these?

2. jumping....big problem...whenever people come in the house...jump jump jump...now its cute...but when hes pushing 80lb....i dont want him hurting people...what do i do?

3. FOOD......naturally, hes nuts...but the big problem is when someones holding food, he jumps up and snatches it from their hand....

i have NO'ed UH-UH'ed and GOOD BOY'ed him to death...please, i need recommendations!

thanks alot!

I can only offer advice on the first problem (and identify with the other 2... Willis can be a brat that way too). Bell training worked like a charm for us. We just hung a fishing bell by the back door and hit it every time Willis went out... eventually he caught on and he rings it every time he wants to go out. He's not a barker, so we had to figure out a way for him to tell us.

Oh, and I just remembered from puppy class too (like 3 hours ago, short term memory)... the trainer told us every time they jump to greet you, just ignore them. Turn away and only reward/pay attention when they are sitting in front of you nicely. As soon as they jump, look away again and ignore.

Good luck! Puppies are the best...
