Jealous boxer

I recently got a 10 week old boxer “Lexi”, the problem is my 15 month old boxer is extremely jealous. Has anyone else gone through this phase with a jealous boxer? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Are they the same sex?

Yes, it is not uncommon for the kids to get jealous. You just cut the attentions to your other Boxer in half.

Thankfully 10 week old pups sleep alot. I would suggest taking some one-on-one walks with your older Boxer while Lexi is sleeping. If you give them each a cookie, give Lexi a cookie first to show pack order. As soon as Lexi understands she is not being replaced, she will calm down.

My Male boxer (Loki) was jealous. He thought he was the king around here. I even gave both my dogs equal attention. He still thought he had to be first for everything. I suppose some would say it was dominace. Sometimes it was but, I could see the jealousy too. What's so funny is Lacey was actually a bit more smarter than Loki was. She could spot things way before he could ever figure out what was up...

Jealous

Everyday I have to take and give each one equal attention...If I dont believe me they let me know...LOL...I have been through just about anything that could possibly happen ,broken legs,stictches,being stolen,seperation anxiety,birthing,blood transfusions,cancer, allergys...etc...I could probably write a book...:D .... ...
