I just had a little story to tell about Jake. He is my first boxer. Well I have a niece who I watch on a daily basis and she is terrified of dogs. Any size, any kind, she is SCARED! Well I was really worried how I was going to handle this situation because I have wanted a boxer for a long time. When she first say Jake she just fell in love with this dog. She never cried or screamed like she has before. It was weird. Her and that dog play all day and she loves kissing him and he likes kissing her too! They are so cute together. I think there is something special between them two. But to this day she is still terrified of other dogs!!!

My husband and I researched all the breeds and we just kept coming back to the boxer for the reason of thier love for children. Our Butch is so amazing with my kids. My youngest is 6 year old, she will kiss and hug him non stop, she also has a bad habit of holding his face and talking to him. Of course, this is all done in love but you'd think that a dog might interpret it negatively. He just sits there.

I guess that's why we love them so much.

My 6 year old niece is wary of all dogs, she was scared of Rubes because of her bouncy ways. She has got used to her so quickly and now sits in Rubys bed with her 'talking to her' telling her not to chase the cats, how she should just ignore them, telling her what a pretty girl she is and recently has just started singing to her!

Great story! Boxers are a special breed. Glad they get along so well. My boys and Daisy get along great. Jacob (my 3 year old) sings to her all the time. Sometimes she woo-woos back at him...so funny!!!

That is great your niece will probably grow with the dog although the boxer will probably grow alot faster.() Good luck glad to hear all went well!!
