Jack hammer & Kidney bean

May I ask what in the world are these traits exactly? I keep searching for definitions but can't find anything.

Kidney bean is when your boxer is so happy that she bends in half (makes a c shape/kidney bean shape with her body).
Jack hammering is usually done to a toy or other object--your boxer will repeatedly pounce on the toy with both front paws.

Hey! there's a name for this

I knew about the kidney bean but didn't know about jack hammer. I thought Daisy was just clowning around when she pounds on her toys with her front paws. Her favorite is to turns her water bowl upside down, spilling water everywhere just for the purpose of doing the jack hammer. I can't stop laughing long enough to be angry at her for the mess.

Molly not only jack hammers her toys but me as well. She seems to think its ok to jack hammer me while I'm trying to sleep and she is ready to get up. She never Bothers DH probably because she knows there is really nothing that will get him out of bed unless he is ready

The name Jackhammering definately matches the action to a tee. In our family we are Animal Planet nuts. We watch shows about all kind of animals and I love bears in particular. So, when we brought my female home at 11wks and she started doing this to her big pillow we called it "Polar Bearing" because that is exactly how the Polar Bear breaks the ice to fish. She also does this to us when we play and most of her toys. They are great to watch.

Bucking Bronco!

We call Isis' jackhammer "The Bucking Bronco" because she not only jackhammers, but her head/ears/tongue/butt fly around and her eyes go all wild! It's so much fun to watch and she loves when we encourage her - she gets even wilder!

Hennessy also does both, I knew about kidney bean but I never heard of jack hammering but it sure fits the bill

Oh my yes - we definitely have the kidney bean down. We do this whenever we meet anyone - as we haven't found a person we don't like yet. Jackhammer is a little difficult -still not coordinated very well. We like to jackhammer mom's kidneys though.

He also will get distracted by grass in the middle of a boxer burn and flip himself head over feet and roll - we call this move his torpedo hits target action! It's so funny.

I also love it when he's running and his butt (rear axle) decides to go a different direction from his head (front axle). He always looks so surprised!
