I love love love this dog! Bettis joined our family 1-14-05 on my son's 8th birthday. He was a gift for him--and the whole family! I read the boxers for dummies book and have researched the dog pretty consistantly since July when my sister bought her brindle. She has treasured her's from the start. I was looking for a great family dog and have found him! We weren't going to buy until Spring (with potty training in zero below temps and all!) but decided to go for it last week. Perfect timing, perfect dog. He has become one of us! Can't imagine be without him already! I was concerned by comments I have heard about the breed, but true owners and this web site have eased my mind. My dog is so great and we love him so much! I am greatful for this web site--it has helped me in many ways. I love the stories people tell about their dogs. It's like telling stories about your kids!

Welcome to BW. I too just recently joined and have loved the site. As well, I'm in the middle of reading "Boxers for Dummies" with "Culture Clash" being the next on my list.

Like the name you chose as well. I'm not sure who I'm cheering for yet Sunday, because the Pats DID take out my Colts, but I kinda want the Steelers to finish them off. Like on Halloween!!!
