It's GROSS but still need ideas.....

We have a half acre, so we clean it up every few days with a long handled pooper scooper. Then it goes into a big garbage bag and in the dumpster. They pick it up once a week. We haven't been through a summer at our new house yet, so I hope it doesn't stink.

This is WAY gross, but we first got our puppy when we lived in a one bedroom apartment. It's no fun going out every half hour, so we trained our boxer to jump in the tub and go there. We picked it up right away with toilet paper and flushed it down the toilet. We kept a bottle of clorox spray right by the tub to sterilize after every incident. We still took her out at least 4 times a day, and I can say she obviously preferred to go on grass. Now that we're in the new house we don't let her near the tub just in case!

We use a small sized garbage can... and we put a plastic bag in it.. We pick up their poop about 2 times a week. Then it goes out with the trash. In the summer probably more often.. Almost daily.


That Doggy Dooley looks like a good idea :D I think I might try that. I do get tired of the bag in the trash routine.

Interesting that I am the only one that composts. Makes me wonder how many people pay for fertilizer and nitogenated soil for spring and garden planting. I make my own and get rid of puppy poop and household waste (food/yard waste) all at the same time. No muss, no fuss, no bother (and no lugging bags of poop around waiting for garbage day).

Dollar store roll of small garbage bags and package of 100 disposable gloves.

Every day in the summer, once a week in the winter (if I can find it under the snow)

Composting boxer product is about as close to Marthadom as I will ever get. I know how much Dan loves Martha.

Now that we feed BARF we only pick up POOP about once a fortnight if that. Gnarly always goes in the same spot and it is considerably smaller now and usually disappears after about a day into white powder.

More people should consider BARF, I switched Gnarly because of allergy reasons but have friends that are thinking of switching after seeing Gnarly's poop sizes.

Hi there i asked about this a while ago. and having tried loads of methods I have returned to this one:

clear his patch every day using poop bags. then put inside large bag hanging on a hook in his patch. put out with refuse every week.

In summer, i have to clear his patch after each visit because of smells and flies.

Then simply clean with hose pipe, solution of jeyes fluid and a yard brush.
