I'm curious to hear how others dispose of it........any neat ideas?

Leave it be? Pick it up daily? weekly? Septic? Plastic bags? water it in?

Please share how you approach the dreaded of chore of doggie detail.......

Zoey, my Husky/Lab mix, only poops behind the shed (where nobody ever goes) so I just leave it there. Zack just goes where ever he happens to be when he realizes he has to go. I know I should pick it up, but I don't. I don't really know what to do with it either. I keep hoping Zack will learn to be as neat and private about it as Zoey is. :D

Sorry - but YUK! - Surely there is a build-up behind there - it must be horrid. Doesn't he get it on his feet or anything?



My two go on the lawn near the back fence of the garden - in the summer when the kids are playing outside I pick it up as soon as it's done. In the winter I pick up usually once or twice a week. I use two kids sand spades to scoop it up and put it in a plastic bag which then goes in my outside bin which is collected once a week by the local council. - (the sand spades are not allowed to be used by the kids for sand!)

I do have a 'green' bin which is for garden waste and is collected twice a month by the council, however, animal waste is not allowed in there.

I use a 20 gallon rubbermaid trash can with a liner. Scoop the poo in to it every day or so and it goes out with the trash every week.

In the warm months its picked up everyday and put in a lined drum and then it goes out with the garbage every week. Winter when ever we can get to it with the snow and freezing rain etc.

Waiting to hear what a Dooley is too!?

I'm trying to find doggy bio-bags here, but still don't have any answer from the compagnie... For now, it goes in the garbage.

You want a funny story? My friend has shown to her doberman to poop directly in the plastic bag!!! So, when he needs to go, he take place, wait for the bag, and do waht he has too! That's cool no?

We pick up every day or so. We use the pooch pick up bags scented. Nice ties on the the ends to close them up. They are quite big to get lots in to it.
